Who starts a blog but isn’t a writer?

This girl.

I actually came to the idea of this blog not for me but for other mama’s who might want a place to go and write, to express themselves, to share the love and pains of mothering but don’t have their own blog space or the availability of anonymity if needed. This space is for YOU, our reader. Guest bloggers or full time bloggers are welcome here, I encourage you to come share anything… even your grandmas cookie recipe. That being said, here is a small blurb from me on this beautiful Sunday morning.

She calls me “Gran” and I melt every time I hear her say it. I love being a grandma. I am incredibly blessed that my almost 3 year old granddaughter Helena lives just a few miles down the road and that I get to see her almost daily. She is such a bright spot in my life. She loves to call me on face time and tell me about what her kittens are up to, if her papa is at school or about the fun she had with her bestie Lola. Who knew almost 3 years olds had so much to talk about? I am learning lots! The personality in this little one is BIG!

I am happy for my growing relationship with this little sprout, I am excited about sharing experiences with her…fishing, cooking, camping, maybe even the love for midwifery and service to mamas and babies. I look forward to the day that she comes to me for help in a school project or advice about love or to try to talk some sense into her mother who obviously never was a teenager and can’t understand! 🙂 To be there with arms open when heart break hits or to be the second person she tells shes getting married. I am honored to be building memories with her,honored that I am given the chance to love her. I’m even honored to think that someday she may pass down our favorite oatmeal cookie recipe to her children and grand children, who then will do the same for their babies.
